Scott and Leigh Ann, also known as "Burnin' Daylight" for western/cowboy bookings, are members of the Western Music Association and participate in several western music festivals & events each year. They recently performed during in Cheyenne Wyoming during 120th Cheyenne Frontier Days on the first stage ever devoted to western music. The stage was hosted by Michael Martin Murphey. The Matthews have also performed for Murphey's WestFest in Rifle, CO, the Praire Rose Western Festival in Benton, KS and during the AmerEquine Festival of the Horse in Fort Worth along with Emmylou Harris, Marty Stuart, Riders in the Sky, Don Edwards and others. They have performed for the National Cowboy Symposium Celebration in Lubbock, TX and Muskogee Heritage Day Celebration and were featured performers at the International Colt Collector's Annual Convention in Tulsa. They have opened for Red Steagall and Devon Dawson and the Texas Trailhands for theCowboy Ball Celebrations in Henryetta, OK and have performed for the Rio Grande Scenic Railway Summer Concert Series near Alamosa, CO. Leigh Ann performed solo for the 2006 and 2007 Great American Cattle Drives, during the OKC and Tulsa State Fairs and has appeared on RFD-TV's "Best of America By Horseback" and Rick Lamb's "The Horse Show." Leigh Ann publishes The Heartland HorseTrader and they also own and operate the 4M Chuck Wagon, offering authentic cowboy cuisine for a variety of events and festivals. |
